I don’t look at life as a linear path but rather as infinite crossroads. If you want you could go always straight, but what’s stopping you from making a turn? Many of us are just so used to live the way we live; we don’t even bother to look any other direction at the crossroad but straight.
Now stop for a moment and reflect about life. About your life, life of a person we know or life stories of famous people. We will realize that there are two main ways we make progress in life: sudden change in direction, or slow but steady progress in the same direction.
The second type of change is easier, you can plan something ahead, secure it and take a turn when everything is ready to fall in place. For example, if you are thinking about lunching a business, you can start making savings before leaving your current job.
The first type of change is unpredictable, but it’s the one that gives us the best life experience, may it be good or bad experience, it’s a very valuable one. We must adjust to the situation and it shapes or personality and will. For example, you get an offer to join a great company with a big jump in responsibilities and salary.
When opportunity knocks, grab your chance.
Things like these don’t happen often, and they don’t happen to everyone; so if you are among the lucky ones and some such opportunity happens to you, don’t hesitate; such opportunities usually won’t wait for you for too long; and if you miss one, you never know how long you may need to wait for another one to appear.
I think that change is something that will give you the new spark in life. I can’t say that new beginning is easy, because it’s not. However, it will give your life a new meaning. After all life is not about what we have but rather what we do!
The spark will light up your life!
Change = Fear
Who says change, says fear. It’s called Metathesiophobia and is often linked with Tropophobia which is the fear of moving.
We fear change because we can’t anticipate the outcome.
However, staying still can be riskier than changing. Whether it’s in your career or a relationship, you risk being left behind if you don’t continue to grow. Isn’t it scarier than the change?
So, I encourage you to face your fears and grab on arising opportunities, your life will get a new meaning.
I’m going to end this blog with this relevant quote to reflect on:
“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’”
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Recently, I’ve found my old diaries from more than 10 years ago! I realized how important having a diary is and would like to encourage you to start one.
It is important for you to surround yourself with people who will challenge you to become your better self, people who will push you to do better each day.
When opportunity knocks, grab your chance!
