Do you feel like you’re holding back because of what other people might think? If the answer is yes, this blog is for you!
I notice that lots of people today are holding back. Some hold back their opinions, not to offend anybody. Some hold their decisions, not to be criticized. They are prisoners of other people’s perception.
We are constantly communicating lies; “I’m great” a generic answer to “How are you?”. We limit ourselves to portray a beautiful lie, exaggerating what is going well and hiding the true stories.
Now, being inside an imaginary bubble, we are limited. But is it the way to live your live? You see, I believe one can become great, only by being completely free.
I will give you a personal example:
Among plenty of desires, I always wanted to have long hair, wake up later in the morning and dress the way I want.
When I had my first job, it required me to have short hair, which made me miserable. I remember crying each time I had to cut my hair. When I started my first office job, I had to wear a suit have an appropriate hairstyle and had to wake up every morning early to go to work.
I remember asking myself, what’s the point of having personal desires if we can’t fulfill them? Then I started realizing that I do not need to deprive myself.
I started to listen more and more what my inner voice had to say, and I let it do what it had to do. I made everything in my power to become independent.
Today, I’m fully free. I do not make my choices according to anybody but me! And I can feel the positive benefits of it.
Freedom gives you inner peace, boost your creativity and makes you truly happy!
You do not live for others, but for yourself. It might sound cliché, but life is too short, so do what you feel like doing!
Below I’ve prepared few notes to help you liberate yourself!
Realize your purpose
Purpose is who and what you are. So ask yourself a few questions:
What do I want out of this life?
Why am I here?
What am I great at?
What do I love to do?
Those questions might help you find the meaning of your life.
Always ask why?
“Why am I doing this?” Is a question you should always have an answer to. If you can’t find a valid reason then literally: Why are you doing this!?
Don’t seek other people approval.
Remember, most people aren’t paying much attention. People spend more time thinking about their life than thinking about others. It’s impossible to live up to everyone’s expectations, so don’t hurt yourself trying to do so. Please yourself and let the rest fall where they may. Some people will dislike you. That’s all right.
Focus on the present moment
Listen to your gut feeling and make your decisions quickly! The more time you spend thinking about advantages and disadvantages, the more likely you will go with safer option, not the one that truly represents your desire.
Just do what comes to your mind.
The more often you listen to your inner voice, the easier it will become for you. All of sudden you feel like you want to go to for a walk? Just go! Do you feel the need to take a nap? Just do it!
Either you embrace the freedom, or you don’t. The time is now, the choice yours. It’s your time to shine, your time to fly, your time to live.
Let me know in below comment section what step you took towards your freedom! 🙂
